The Pope John Paul II has passed away and people are mourning. I was looking at pictures on most websites of mourners of all races & ages unified in their loss, Catholics, Orthodox, Maronites and many more. I saw Moslems grieve the loss of a man who worked diligently for peace.
And when I speak to anyone they say: “Did you see? The Pope died… May God rest his soul…”
Of the many Pictures that I saw, a few touched me… One was of H.R.H. Prince Charles, head bent in prayer. Of nuns in deep thought of their immense loss, the many others were of small children in tears, from all across the world and in prayer…
I wondered about their loss, their comprehension of religion, their grievances, religion and its many other aspects that may or may not provoke them at a later point in life to commit passions in its name.
Dear Sirs and ladies
ReplyDeleteI have read the " the passing of Pope John Paul the II". I think I can recognise your point of view. In these turbulant times where the world is turning into a raging battle between the different cultures and civilizations, there are still people working for peace and trying to bring proximity and understanding between the different cultures and religions. I really hope that his predecessor follows up in his footsteps.
